Have Online Video Games Lead to Locating Local Offline Friends Transferred Through Online Gaming?

Online video situs bandarq games are becoming more popular these days. Children from all walks of life love playing them. They have also become a part of the educational system with most schools installing such games into the school systems themselves. These games can help to stimulate children’s minds in a positive way. This will also give parents an opportunity to interact with their children in a fun way which is very beneficial for the child as well as the parent.

DescriptionAn online video game is any video game that is mainly or partially played via the Internet or some other interactive computer network. The Internet has become a major part of the contemporary global society with millions of users accessing it every single day. This has prompted businesses to design and develop products which can be accessed and played on the Internet. In fact, several types of online games have already been developed and launched in the market. This is the reason why there is a current study about the effects of online video games on children.

This current study was done by David Steele, assistant professor at the University of California at Los Angeles. His study was entitled “Associations between Aggression, Gender, Age, and Video Game Preference: A Meta-analysis of Online Games”. This research looked at two different samples; one group was made up of five gamers who played at least six hours per week on Xbox Live and another group who played on the same platform but had no communication with each other. The results showed that the gamers who did not communicate with each other actually spent more time playing online games. Furthermore, they spent significantly more time than the ones who did communicate with one another.

What this means is that boys, girls and even teens play video games and they do it in different ways. There are various factors that influence whether or not boys and girls get along with one another. One of them is the kind of friends they have. The boys and girls who did not form friendships were actually spending more time in groups or chat rooms that consist of people who play video games together. The guys spend more time in these types of environments where they can talk to their buddies while girls spend more time in environments that are more personal, like with their friends. The results of this study also showed that the people who play video games are more likely to be liberal and have progressive values, while the ones who do not have any sort of communication with one another tend to be more conservative and tend to value honesty above all else.

This same study then shows that when parents monitor what their kids do on the Internet, they can then discern if their kids are being fair when they communicate with one another, or not. For instance, when you search the term “Friendship”, on google Scholar you will find that there are many different studies that were done regarding online gaming and friendship. These studies found that friendship is more influenced by the types of computer mediated communication we have. However, this does not mean that there aren’t some isolated cases where people do develop true friendship.

So, it appears that it depends upon whether the person playing the game actually cares about having real-life friends or not. If an online player doesn’t care and thinks that they are just having a good time, then they will go out of their way to meet people offline who they might have a real connection with, but if they do care and want to meet offline friends transferred through online environments, then they will do what they can to make that happen. It seems as though it’s more about having a good time and interacting with real people, or making online friends transferred through online gaming, than it is about forming real relationships, especially low-es players who don’t really care about forming connections with others outside of the game.
